Marketing Claim Standards
QuosineDSP can sound excited without sounding exaggerated. This page defines how the site should talk about unreleased and released products.
Allowed when true
“Designed for high-performance audio workflows.”This describes intent and design direction. It should not be converted into “fastest” or “best” without benchmark data.
Needs evidence
“Lower CPU than competing tools.”Requires repeatable benchmark data, test systems, plugin settings, DAW versions, buffer sizes, and comparison conditions.
Use carefully
“Professional quality.”Better phrasing: “built for professional workflows” or “intended for serious production work,” unless validated by released product performance and user feedback.
Avoid
“Guaranteed to improve your mix.”A tool can help users work, but results depend on source material, monitoring, experience, and taste.
Rules
- Do not present prototypes as final commercial products.
- Do not imply automatic results for every user.
- Place important conditions near the claim they qualify.
- Separate educational opinion from product promises.
- Publish methodology for performance claims when release builds are ready.
